Welcome to my website!
I am an evolutionary ichthyologist seeking to understand the factors that have shaped the diversification and evolution of ray-finned fishes using
Gadiformes (Cods, hakes, Rattails & allies) as a model clade.
My research spams across multiple scales ranging from population to species and higher-level systematics with an emphasis on fisheries conservation.
I use a synthetic approach that incorporates
morphological, molecular, ecological, and fossil-based data.
I am currently a National Science Council (NRC) Research Associate at
NOAA - Fisheries, National Systematics Laboratory,
based at The Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of Natural History.
